Conductivity, the very basic electrochemical measure on any electronic or ionic conductor, can became a challenging issue if conducted at high temperature.
Measuring cell from Material Mates, based on more than two decades of experience in difficult measuring tasks, easily fit very different sample shapes within the spring loaded contact plates.
Simple, repeatable measurements can then be performed on a wide range of impedances, thanks to a “wiring compensating technique” that takes care of wiring impedance without the hassle of sensing geometry on a true 4-wires configuration.
With a maximum temperature of 1200 C°and a true “flow through“ gas path for controlled atmosphere operation the cell is suited for conductivity characterization at gas/temperature variation or high frequency EIS measures on grain to grain boundary and bulk properties.
The measuring head has low electrical noise and good frequency behavior thanks to the short length design and the accurate shielding.
