Thin films are an important part of the most recent innovations in electrochemistry.

Active layers must be studied in real operational environment to give significant results and some of those are working at very high temperatures. Moreover a part of them presents a non isotropic behaviour , making surface-based measurements not reliable.

With the thin-film measuring cell model THF-H, Materials Mates is giving the possibility to study thin films at a temperature up to 1100 C°, with true 4-wires connections under both, surface and bulk, configurations.

Based on more than two decades of experience in difficult measuring tasks, the contact head has individually loaded spring contact posts and an alumina well that allows the thermocouple stay outside the clean gas area.

The cell is suited for conductivity characterization at gas/temperature variation or high frequency EIS measures on grain to grain boundary and bulk properties. Contact us to find out more on the features related to your specific application
